Parks Canada in Hay River to Discuss Thaidene Nene
Here’s another chance to voice your support for establishing Thaidene Nene National Park Reserve! Parks Canada is hosting a public consultation meeting Wednesday, April 20 in Hay River.
Remember, your voice matters in this process!
Your support will help make sure the vision for Thaidene Nene is achieved, including a sustainable future for our Lutsel K’e Dene First Nation through protecting ecological integrity, cultural continuity, and creating opportunities for economic sustainability through tourism and conservation.
Parks Canada released the proposed boundary for Thaidene Nene National Park Reserve in the summer of 2015, along with information about how it will be managed (read their Thaidene Nene FAQs). They are now looking for feedback from the public on their plans for establishing and managing Thaidene Nene with us.
Have something to contribute but can’t make it to the meeting? You can still help by writing an email to decision makers expressing your support for Thaidene Nene National Park Reserve.
